How many gallons antifreeze/coolant does 1996 Sedan DeVille take ?

The capacity of the deville cooling system is 12.3 qts of antifreeze.
It will take approx. 12 quarts of antifreeze to fill it. Two gallons of pre-mix 50/50 should cover it, with it empty. Be sure to put the ORANGE silicate free antifreeze in it and not the GREEN propolene glycol.
That's just over 2 gallons ... & the ORANGE silicate is like $25 a gallon ! ... Hopefully, the GREEN propolene (at $12) won't make too much of a difference.

DO NOT USE THE GREEN PROPYLENE GLYCOL ANTI-FREEZE, IT EATS AWAY AT THE ALUMINUM IN THE ENGINE AND DETERIORATES THE HEAD GASKET.... USE ONLY DEX-COOL 50/50 IN THIS ENGINE AS THE OWNER MANUAL STATES AND YOUR ENGINE WILL LAST YOU AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW THE MANUAL'S DIRECTIONS ON ALL MAINTENANCE RELATED ISSUES
i flushed it out i think i did it right but i did not flush it all out so its orange and green more orange cause i thought i did it right but if not is that the problem the other problem is that i had the green and there every sense i got the car what should i do im lost at this point cause i dnt have alot of money to spend on someone missing it up even more.
Never mix the orange with the green. They react with each other and it is not good.
mixing green propylene glycol with dex cool will cause the mixture to turn into a sludge and damage the engine moving parts, not worth the risk.
You can use green, but long life is what I put in now. Do not use DeX-cool. Holds two gallons sometimes a quart more.
Thank you everyone... it's my first Caddy so I stay need a manual as well... Orange antifreeze will be the standard...
