What can I do to assure potential buyers that my salvage title car is worth considering

Asked by Paul Sep 02, 2015 at 03:13 PM about the 2011 Mazda MAZDA3 s Sport Hatchback

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I've been driving a salvage title car for the last 2 years and I've loved it, but now I've moved to NYC and I take the metro everywhere so I'm trying to sell.  I expected folks to be wary of such a car, but I thought a heavy discount and its currently good condition would still interest some buyers.  Unfortunately, things have been pretty slow and the few inquires about the car haven't panned out.  Any tips?

Lots of potential buyers will skip the car as soon as they find out it's been salvaged. Yeah, I know, you already know that. But you need to have specifics, what happened, exactly, why the insurance declared it 'totaled' ... what was the damage, where, and what was done to get it back to a legal, safe car
