What happens when you change out the battery in newer cars, you will sometimes loose memory to certain devices. You will need to have the ECM reset at the dealer

thank you Mark! what is the ECM and does it have to be reset at the dealer or can any shop take care of it?

COMETGUY61 is talking about the Electronic Control Unit. And the dealer has to do it. Any shop can not do this.
