Asked by Benjamin E.G Jan 04, 2021 at 02:59 AM about the 1995 Cadillac DeVille Concours Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I lost the only key to my 1995
Cadillac DeVille so I went to the
giant Chevrolet Cadillac
dealership in Visalia California
and parts and accessories they
cut me one just like the one I lost I
get home I inserted it into the
ignition and it didn't want to turn
or anything after 45 minutes of
messing with it I called the
dealership and I spoke with the
gentleman that cut the key and he
said well I don't know it's nothing I
can do about it so I went to
AutoZone and I just went ahead
and bought the whole new
ignition and the cylinder and it
came with two sets of keys and
those keys did turn but it didn't
want to start my car due to the
vets sit next to me is the original
cylinder to my car and I'm out over
$200 and I'm just trying to get
some advice as far as what would
be the best thing to do as far as
trying to get my car started

sorry you went to the dealer. I would've tried a locksmith. Dealers will grind your wallet to the ground. They don't always have the answers. I've never financed any of my cars through a dealer..or anyone
