Waterpump blown engine

Asked by Terrance Aug 27, 2018 at 11:18 PM about the 2011 Lincoln MKZ FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Im trying to figure if the engine is blown....I drive
the car for maybe 15 miles before I had come to a
stop and noticed I heard a sound... once I pulled
over I found antifreeze leaking from under the
car.... it was still leaking and the was a sound
coming from the waterpump timechain area.....I
showed the cat to cool waiting on a friend to look
at it.... we put water into the reservoir and the noise
quieted a bit.... I'm trying to see if a head or a rod
would've blown that quickly.... and is it worth fixing
if so.....88,000 miles on the engine
