Question type: Car Customization
I have a 4 cylinder and want to add a little more hp. I was looking at the (URD Mk3 Supercharger kit for
2005+ Tacoma 2.7L 2TR-FE 4 Cylinder). Is this a good pick? Also what should I expect in mpg and would
there be a fuel change?

there will be dramatic fuel consumption because a super charger eats alot of fuel
First of all, any type of chargers is going to change the function of the car, and one that most don't think of, you will be using premium fuel. I would ad a turbo if I was going to ad any type of charger. Blowers take Hp. to run. Belts involved and any time you have to use your engine to turn a product, it takes Hp. to do so even though you are going to make more HP. A turbocharger uses the wasted heat from your exhaust to make Hp., not loosing any power from your engine. It will require a larger exhaust most likely.
P.S. with the turbo, you will gain fuel mileage, but the timing will have to be reset to a more advanced timing. All info come with a turbo kit if you go that way,.
