I just replaced the idle air control motor/kicker and plug in my 1993 Cadillac Sedan Deville. now when I drive the car down the road and take my foot off the accelerator, the car continues to idle at 2200 RPMs. I am not receiving any codes. why does the car idle high? I originally replaced the idle control motor because I was receiving an actuator and egr code and the car was stalling. I have no vacuum leaks. please help and thanks.

Egr has nothing to do with the IAC. Are you positive there isn't a vacuum leak?

When you release the accelerator pedal does it quickly slow itself down or does it coast?

car continues speed when accelerator has been released. update; cadillac fixed. apparently, when idc was replaced, tps went bad. i replaced tps, car fixed.
