2011 Nissan Altima,

Question type: General

Code P0101 came up. what does that mean is it serious? do I need to get it looked at right away?

Ok. From what I've read this is a common problem with these cars. There is a pcm software update that would need to be preformed. You would need to take it to the dealer for this. Clean the Maf (mass air flow) sensor. You can get a can of maf cleaner at your local parts store.

As for right now nissian is unsure of what is causing this problem and they are currently looking into it.
