Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Can somebody give me a rough
estimate on how much repairs are for
a 2011 xf jaguar, how much are the
tires and how long do they last?
What about an oil change and how
often should i change it? What about
brakes and how often? Just a sum
up of the main things on a car, ive
never owned luxury so i dont want to
do something i cant afford. I am
looking at a premium v8 2011 with 33
K on it. Any advice would be great.

I am also getting the car from carmax with carmax care. Whats your opinion with other costs
I have owned a 2007 Jaguar XJ8 for four years and the only thing have have done has been oil changes, Its a very well built automobile. However this isn't my daily driver so it doesn't get used every day. I don't drive it in the winter due to the snow. The dealer's service shop will charge a lot, but if you have a local machanic repair cost are not to much more than any other car would be.
These are completely different models, i really want to hear from someone who owns one.
Yes, I agree they are totally different models, And in 2008 Jaguar was brought out by Tata Motors of India from Ford. Still designed and made in England things have only gotten better over the years. The XF has received outstanding reviews and has a undeniable presence of luxury & performance. To chat with a XF owner I would suggest joining a Jaguar forum, there are a few, but Jaguarforum.com is a good one to ask around.
I own a 3lt xf 30,000 miles 2009. No issues except DPF and Restricted performs light , both gone off without need for repair. Tyres wear quickly but the Dunlop J series are recommended , depends how you drive. Electric system and warnings are the issue they come up regulars so if your a worrier don't get this car. Even the keyless entry , battery low comes on frequently , otherwise the car is a dream , ..only other problem is if you pull up next to an M5 and put the car n Sport and Dynamic Vehicle Control, there is a whining noise from the passenger seat. annual service £200 pounds fixed price jaguar service ,

I own a 2012 XF and have regretted ever buying it. Take my advise and pick a different model thats more reliable. The Jaguar look noce but once you start haveing one problem, it will turn into another and their tech support or most tech's dont know what the hell they are doing to fix them.
