What must be done to ENTER CODE after battery is changed?

Turn your ignition off to begin retrieving your radio code. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset buttons on your radio. Turn your ignition on. Write down the code displayed on your radio. The display will flash with two numbers: one beginning with a "U" and one beginning with a "L." Write down both numbers (beginning with the "U" number), and then disregard the "U" and the "L." This number (eight digits) is your radio serial code. You'll need it to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. Contact Honda to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. You'll need your 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number, found beneath the driver's side of the windshield and your radio serial code. Honda's customer service number is (800) 999-1009. Provide the representative with the information to acquire your radio anti-theft code. You can also retrieve your radio anti-theft code online at https://radio-navicode.Honda.com/ Turn your ignition to "Acc" or "On" to power on your radio. Enter your radio anti-theft code using the preset buttons at the bottom of your radio. For example, if your anti-theft code is "55512," you would press the "5" button three times, then the "1" button, then the "2" button. This will unlock and reset your Honda radio.

I had the same problem and someone told me where to find my code and they were right. Open your glove compartment and there should be a sticker with 2 sets of numbers and the first 5 digit should be your radio code.

I have a 2012 CRV and the first 4 digits in the longer code from my glove box worked...wondering why AAA didn't do this when they changed my battery???

My radio unlock code for my 2007 Honda CRV was located on a decal on the left side of my glove box. The code was a five digit number which is the top five digit number found on the glove box decal. The TOP number is a five digit unlock radio code. Just turn the radio on and enter the five digit number using the 1-6 radio station preset buttons. Hope this helps someone.

If you are receiving the 'ErrE' message, you need to disconnect your battery for 10 minutes, reconnect it, then punch in the code you obtained from the https://radio- navicode.honda.com/ site. To get the code, you will need your VIN and Serial number, email address, U.S. zip code, and a few other very minor field requirements. Once you obtain the code, you can then go back to the radio panel, hit the Power button. You will then see 'Code.' At this point, you punch in the code you obtained from the Honda site. You should then get your radio to work again and reset your clock.

To obtain your serial number, even with the 'ErrE' message flashing, first, start your car again. You should see the 'ErrE' message again on your radio panel. To get the serial number, press digits '1' and '6' on the panel at the same time, while also pressing the Power button. An eight-digit code should come up, 4 digits at a time (ignore the letter before each set of 4 digits). Write down this 8-digit code. This is the serial number for your car only.

Had the same "ENTER CODE" Situation after battery change. To fix problem I just entered the 5 digit number that was posted on a sticker inside left side of grove box. Worked after that.

I have a 2011 Honda CRV. I successfully used the last 5 digits of the radio serial # as the code to activate my radio after the battery was disconnected. I didn't have my serial # anywhere, so I retrieved it by putting my key in the ignition to turn on the radio and holding the "1" and "6 buttons and then pressing the radio power button twice while keeping 1 and 6 held. This gave me my 8-digit serial #. It sounds like this won't work for everyone, but hopefully it can help someone!
