BLOWN RIGHT SIDE AIR SUSPENSION BAG! WHY?

Asked by Mari Nov 29, 2017 at 01:36 PM about the 2011 Land Rover Range Rover HSE 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

HI,
I RECENTLY ALIGNED MY CAR AND HAD THE RIGHT SIDE AIR SUSPENSION BAG BLOW OUT.
I WAS TOLD THE DAMAGE HAPPENED BECAUSE I DID NOT OPEN THE REAR DOOR AT ANY POINT THE PROCESS.

IS THIS CORRECT? DOES A LAND ROVER'S REAR TRUNK DOOR NEED TO BE OPEN DURING THESE KINDS OF REPAIRS TO PREVENT SUSPENSION DAMAGE?

That sounds like BS. Have the person that told you this explain what opening or not opening a door has to do with the air suspension.

The alignment shop should know the procedure for your car. It is not your responsibility to tell them how to align your SUV.
