2011 range rover sport hse. selector stuck in P and will not move out of it but display is saying selector is N! is there anything i can do to be able to move the selctor?

2011 range rover sport hse. selector stuck in P and will not move out of it but display is saying selector
is N! is there anything i can do to be able to move the selctor?

There is a cable that pulls the locking device that is in the center console. Remove the center console and also the locking device and replace it. Be mindful though if you decide to leave it out, it will shift to any other gear without pushing in the lock to shift. OR, it might be the cable from the brake pedal, you won't really know till you disassemble it.

I don't have an answer. However I do have similar problems and the local mechanics could not able to fix it. I need help.
