Will a 2013 equinox transmission fit in a 2011 equinox?

The only time you should buy a major part like that is if you can install it yourself. If you buy the wrong part you are stuck with it or will have to pay a hefty restocking fee. If you plan to use a mechanic to install it, ask him or her to help hunt down the right transmission. Transmissions often do have year by year changes in electronic controls, modules, harness connectors, and other factors that require extensive knowledge of before gambling on buying one, especially one 3 or 4 years model years apart. I would seek out a reputable mechanic or transmission shop for this type of service.
