How can I reset my tire pressure warning system?

I totally understand your frustration, regarding your issue. When the TPS light illuminates it can be for a number of reasons. Were the tires, or wheels recently replaced, or changed? I would take the car to the dealer and have them pull the code and reset the ECM. A tire shop may also be able to assist with this, but with my newer vehicles I prefer a pricey, but documented trip to the dealer to address the issue. Some people might say "oh just disconnect the battery and that will reset the ECM however, in a car as advanced as your Highlander, I would be concerned about the many sensors and electronic components not being properly reinitialized. If the light illuminated simply for low air pressure, and you have aired up the tire to the correct psi, the code usually has to be cleared, it will not self diagnose and automatically extinguish the light. I just came back from a Michigan trip and probably the cold could have had some effects. Also I haven't check the spare tire yet. Thanks for your help.

You are so welcome. I hope that you get this resolved, and yes, it could have been the cold that caused the air to contract however, typical road wear causes the tire to heat to a decent temperature. 2013 Highlander. Button is on right hand side under dash. I could not get light to go off. with reset switch I checked the spare tire and it was at 22.5 PSI. Pumped it up to 30 PSI and light went out. So you make sure check all tires including your spare.
