security system light

i have a 1991 Cadillac fleetwood brougham and my security system light will keep
flashing and drain my battery. Any ideas why it wont turn off after the car is off?

You can shut off the flashing security light, as you exit the car with the door open, push down the electric door lock button, and close the door and looking inside security light has stopped flashing, arming the security system.

Yes when u arm the system the light goes solid when u exit and close door it is suppose to go out. If it dont u have a short and has to be disconnected . I had that prob with my 91 brougham. First it was a short in the trunk keyhole then the passenger keyhole.

Looks just like mine . I have a blue one. Dealership checked it out. And found short
