On my 2010, it is located on the right side; just behind the front grille; a little above the frame. It may be visible from underneath; but for sure if the wheel well liner is pulled back from the front fender. The sensor is cylindrical and tapered on one end, down to a rounded point; about 2 " long. It is held in place by a two-fingered plastic clip that partially surrounds the cylindrical body of the sensor. Should have two wires coming from it.

i saw a torn ripped off wire but no news of a temperature sensor. the car has had a front hit though.
