1010 tires. Michelin X-Ice are good, Toyos are good, and Blizzaks are always a safe bet. I went with Blizzaks for my my SUV this time because they are known to be good on ice due to soft tire compound. The flip side is they wear faster, but to counter tread life, I also found them considerably less expensive than other brands. Surprisingly quiet too. Look at reviews on 1010...generally, you get what you pay for, and any well rated tire will do the trick for winter. Just the fact that it is a dedicated winter and not all-season, is a massive improvement.
Good luck.
