code 711 says trans temp problem
I got the code 711 for my car and it says transmission temperature sensor problem. Can I buy and replace it myself or can it be a minor problem? What is the approx cost for the part?

Look up the part and cost online at NAPA, O'Reilly or any other auto parts retailer near you. Search online to see if you can find someone who has already done the change out and posted a video of it. DONT just assume the worst, unless you have pulled the trans dipstick and the fluid is gone or it smells burnt or it is a dark brown color and not blood red like normal fluid.
