Engine refueling issues

Asked by King Oct 09, 2023 at 06:28 PM about the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Santa Fe Sport 3.5L with 96K miles and
recently have been having issues with it stalling
shortly after refueling. I had the charcoal canister
recently replaced due to the fuel tripping after
dispensing a minimal amount of fuel. I threw a code a
couple months back but nothing since. the code was
for a misfire. Today it stalled and took a few attempts
to turn over, which it finally did. Usually runs normal
the next day. Any suggestions?? thanks

Sounds like the purge valve is stuck open. Hope that helps! Jim

I thought so too. I replaced that and still had same issue. I tested the new one in case it was a bad part. Unplugged the connector and took off the hose from the tank. No suction. Plugged the connector bug in and started the vacuum. No clue now
