Question type: General

I have obtained 28 mpg in the past with my car.
I used Castrol synthetic oil
I put 40 pounds of air in the tires.
I filled my tank on cold days.
I drove 60-65 miles per hour.
No hot rodding or fast starts.
Can I get better mpg now???

That's pretty good for a 1990 Cadillac. I'm assuming your vehicle has the 4.5L V-8 in it. Possible ways to increase gas mileage are to switch to a K&N air filter (higher air flow to engine), replace the oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold (more efficient fuel-air mixture determined by the PCM), replace spark plugs and wires, and check onboard computer for codes such as throttle position sensor malfunction or mass air flow issues.
