Car Dealers vs. CarGurus

Asked by Guru1CR5Q Sep 05, 2019 at 07:25 PM about the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

My car was totaled back in July, so my
husband and I have been searching for a get
around car and went to look at a few Yukon’s
and Durango’s at Texano Auto Sales where
they were located.

When we decided on what we wanted, the
salesman was trying to charge us 38%
interest after putting 1/3 of the payment
down and was not going to check my credit
until I asked to get a lower interest rate since
I have really good credit.

My complaint is that if the dealer wants to
charge such an outrageous fee, let that be
known on their ads in here. Most people
research before they go, so that they know
how much they’re willing to put down and
what their payments should be. And then you
get swindled into a mess. Honestly, I think it
is bad business.

Not only did we waste our time, but I am very
disappointed.
