2011 chev pu crew cab 1500 4wd. 5.3 w 3.42 rear end 6 speed auto (5'10"box) What is tow rating for 5th wheel? where should 5th wheel be placed? I have a (removable) manual adjustable slide 5th wheel, that mounts with plates (that are fixed)

Where should the 5th wheel be placed? Find a professional site(s) and get real answers. This isn't time for second guesses and good intentions.

I plan to have it installed, however I want to make sure it is placed in the correct spot. super hard to redo if wrong.

I used "mounting fifth wheel hitch" in a internet search and found dozens of sites. Take a look and determine which ones are relevant to your vehicle, hitch and load.
