Bought my car 4 months ago have had my car in for service
multiple times for malfunction code light ,every time they
say nothing wrong , it was last in for service in May again

light has not come on at all , the other day my battery and
my alternator went car totally dead should the malfunction
code light have come up ? I put a new battery in , with
hopes that that was my only problem malfunction code

There is a dedicated warning light on your dash for battery/ alternator issues, not a code. That lit should have come on to warn you about alternator failing.
