how does the 4.6 l toyota tundra compare to the 5.7l v8 ?

I'm looking at buying a tundra 4x4 double cab for road and some off rd use for hunting. I, looking at a 5.7L and 4.6L how do they compare whats your opinion?. Thanks.

i would say the 5.7 it has plenty of torque and horsepower to get the truck moving. where as the 4.6 kind of lags in both areas especially if you plan to tow a trailer.

Thanks Doug. I was thinking along the same line.I would think the 4.6 would get better gas mileage.

its a little better but not by much. i believe its like a mile or two
