P0171 is a lean code, usually a vacuum leak but you wouldn't be in lim mode for that. P0176 is the flex fuel sensor. You might have some bad fuel, a faulty sensor, wiring issue, fuel pressure issue. Worst case is an ECM issue. Are you smelling raw gasoline around the vehicle? I'd say it's time to take it in to the garage for repair.

Accelerator goes limp, you can depress it all the way down and it stays in idle mode. If I turn car off and restart, it works correctly again. Has occurred multiple times.
