Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello all; my 2012 Fiat 500 Sport 72k miles wont start or crank. The car has a
new Battery, Alternator, Starter. All lights turn on dashboard but nothing
happens when press the clutch and turn the key. I have a reputable mechanic
that could not find the problem and told me to take it to the dealer. Anybody out
there had the same issue? what did you do to fix? thank you.

Thanks bro..I just tried resetting the security sistem but did not do the trick. Also checked fuses and the ground cable under the battery tray. My mechanic checked the clutch switch when he had it in his shop. Any other ideas?

Nothing. All lights turn on on the dashboard no clicks. I dont think the engine is locked up. Otherwise my mechanic would have noticed. It's very strange

My mechanic specializes in German cars unfortunately he wont have the diagram. But I have a guy who is more of a specialist on electric who will come to check it next week. The car is at my moms house now. If he is not able to find the problem I'll have no choice than to take it to the dealer. But I put a service request 2 weeks ago and they have not called me yet. Thank you for your help I will mention what you just told me the guy coming next week. Let you know.

So i had a another mechanic came to check my car. And after going through every fuse and checking the ignition switch and other electrical things. he found out that some connection on the starter is loose or malfunctioning. As you probably know the starter is very hard to reach or see from above , somehow he was able to touch it move some cables while i was turning the ignition switch and car started :). he made me order a new starter, just in case, he will come back saturday lift the car and either fix whats loose or replace the part. It took him 40 mins to fins the problem. saved myself a headache to bring it to the dealer.
