Would the Fiat 500 be a safe 1st car?

Asked by TrevorP71 May 15, 2019 at 08:34 AM about the 2012 FIAT 500 Lounge

Question type: General

I'm a Junior in High school, and I've been shopping around for months for a
first car, and I think we've finally come to settle that a FIAT would be the best
for me, and I'm partial to the 500 Lounge, but the main concern is the safety
of the thing. I've read loads of backs and forth about the car with safety, good
and bad, but I want to know if anyone has been in an accident with a 500 that
could give their experience and opinion on how the car handled it. Thanks!

Would strongly advise to not get a FIAT. I have had one as my first car- only done 15,000 miles and has had so many problems which have resulted with me having to pay a fortune. Lots of people have recommended me to get a Ford Fiesta instead which seem very popular however can be quite pricey for a first car.
