My 2005 Pacifica won't start

Asked by Sonny Ray Jan 11, 2016 at 11:01 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Signature Series FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

y 2005 Pacifica was working fine. I went into the
gas station and pressed the lock button. Once I
came back to my vehicle I pressed the unlock
button on the key but it didn't work. I tried several
times but it didnt work so I manually unlocked the
door. Once I opened the door I noticed that smoke
filled the inside of the vehicle. There was also an
odor that was only inside the vehicle, not under the
hood. There was a flashing red light on the dash. I
started the vehicle but it only ran for a few
seconds. This happened 3-4 times and eventually
the vehicle would no longer start nor would it even
turn over as if it would even attempt to start. I tried
jumping the battery but that didn't work. What is
the problem?

Had a problem similar to this. Ended up being an oil leak, all the oil leaked out and when my car finally cut off there was this awful smell and smoke came out the vents. Hope this helps.
