How do I reset a MIL after the repair is complete?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Mini Clubman S, 73,500 miles. I recently encountered a
power loss and the associated yellow check engine light. Code reader gave
a random misfire on cyl #2. Installed a set of plugs and coil packs, and the
car is running great, but the yellow engine light is still showing. Tried
clearing it with two different OBD readers...one said it was successful, but
the light did not go out, one said the erase failed. Any ideas how to reset it
after the repair is complete?

Thanks for the response...turned out the problem was I was trying to reset the code with the engine running (the only way I had found to make the code reader connect). Additional web searches educated me on how to put my push-button start car into accessory mode - problem solved!
