Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Chrysler pacifica touring needs a new
alternator, how can I tell if my engine is 3.5L or
3.8L so I can buy the right one?

Punch the VIN into any online decoder (Google "VIN decoder"), it will list what engine you have. If you buy the alternator from a parts store they should be able to look up which one you need. You can also pop the hood and see if the engine size is listed on a decal or engine cover. Your owner's manual or sales paperwork will also list it, providing you have those.
