auto stop

when i exccelerate to over take my auto stop light comes on and i lose power
turn engine off and back on its fine till i exccelerate then it does the same
thing can you give me any ideas pkease

Have it scanned for codes. Auto parts stores usually offer this for no fee write down the codes. The auto shut down feature can be activated if there's an electrical issue. Battery, alternator, harness connections, etc 2012 Focus, so many..... TSBs Technical service bulletins.

Ford is having trouble with throttle bodies again. Call your local Ford dealer with the cars vin and have them run an "OASIS" on your car.
