Car is not starting

Asked by GuruZLZHY Oct 31, 2017 at 01:35 PM about the 2012 Ford Mustang V6 Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I turn the ignition to start and it just makes these
clicking sounds and the gauges start jumping. I had
a friend give me jumper cables and it started and
now i just filled up on gas a few days and now it
says the gas tank is  completely empty.

test the battery , it should have 12.5 V at rest , no less than 10V when cranking engine and 14+ when running if alt. is good
