Vacuum leak of some sort. Have the evap system smoke tested. If you are mechanical you can make a smoke machine to find your leak. Search YouTube for homemade smoke machine. Pickle jar and some air fittings and hoses. Rag to burn in jar
Did you get an OEM gas cap or aftermarket? I have seen so many times that aftermarket caps do not seal. I also recondition the old rubber gasket on cap with silicone paste. You can also buy new rubber gasket and change it out and it is as good as new.
You should hear a “swoosh” sound when you take the gas cap off indicating that the system can hold pressure. If you do not hear that then you have a vacuum leak.
