what could this be?

At 7:30 am filled my car up. Couple hours
later drove three miles car seemed to be
runming rough but. Not to bad. Stoped to
wash clothes a hour later i leave about a
mile from my house at a stop light i feel the
car kinda surging then shaking and jerkying i
hear a crackling. And i getto a circle k and
stop. Dont c smoke go inside to get a drink
come out and car wont start wait a few
minutes try again i hear a loud pop then.
Clicking as if the car wont thrn over.  My
brother comes jumps the car as im driving
off white smoke coming from tail pipe hard
to accelerate jerking and hesitating ...  
Could this be the had i got or something
