2004 Chrysler Pacifica navigation not working? How hard is it to fix?

Asked by Bdill2003 Feb 25, 2013 at 04:13 PM about the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We are looking to purchase a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. The navigation is not working and they are willing to discount the price, but want to make sure it's worth it. Any ideas?

It will cost more than it's worth to repair the Pacifica's navigation system. Get a estimate from a dealership. Use that estimate in your negotiations and buy a Garmin or Tom Tom GPS. There are many late model GPS systems on eBay. Some are from people that moved up to cars with the navigation built in.

If the dash screen is working, it is probably the DVD-ROM drive in rear compartment on left side. With removal of a few bolts you can remove it and send it in for service. $225 (includes return shipping)- fill out form at [http://unitedradio.com/automotive/] and send it in, they will call for your payment info.
