Is a 2000 bmw 328ci a reliable first car?

Asked by GuruLXPM4 Apr 02, 2019 at 08:21 PM about the 2000 BMW 3 Series 328Ci Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I am currently in high school and i was considering
to get the 328ci. A family friend has it and i think i
could buy it for around 2k. It has 157,000 miles and
only has a partially messed up bumper which he is
going to fix. He's also checking it with a mechanic
soon so i dont know if there are any major
problens with it atm, as soon as i get the info on
that ill update. I keep hearing that bmw's are not
very reliable and parts are expensive. But just from
looking at the car I have fallen in love. Reviews I
watch say its a good car and feels nice to drive. So
my question is, would this be a reliable first car to
own?
