Have a 2002 mustang convertible, tires 225/55/16 wheels 16”. Can I put
bigger rims on this vehicle

You can fit a 305/45/17 on the rear. You will need to be cautious with the offsets of the wheels. The 99-04 have a wider rear end than previous years. You should have no issues with a 9" wide front and 10" wide rear wheel. Again wheel offsets (backspacing) is everything on these cars. also 2005 and up rims have a completely different offset so try to stick with wheels in the 94-04 mustang range. It will save you a lot of headaches.
