What repair tape is best for a 2004 convertible Mustang top?

Asked by Redfire2004 Jul 29, 2018 at 11:47 AM about the 2004 Ford Mustang Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The top was replaced 7 years ago and it appears to have a stress rip at the
seam on the left side, rear window area.  Is this a top alignment problem or,
because of age, a tape-fix?  I appreciate any help.  I am 71 years old, and want
to drive this buggy until I'm 80!!

The rip can be repaired. I know a company here in Cincinnati that can do it. Not sure where you are. He’d also realign the material so it won’t tear as easily. PS-I also have a 2004 anniversary edition. Same color, black top!
