stalls, choke, gags and dies

Asked by James Aug 07, 2016 at 10:27 PM about the 2000 Ford Focus Sony Limted

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tried everything I can think of. Ford
says nothing wrong with it evidently if
they drove it they would know my
$100.00 computer read is incorrect.
Car stalls out under acceleration.
Driving or parked I'm frustrated my
wife loves this car I bought for her
years ago and she's put 100k on it
since and never had an issue ever.
Been maintained well. Replaced fuel
pump a year ago and just did fuel filter,
mads, timing belt, plugs, coil, spark
plugs, oxygen sensor. Could have
replaced car by now !  Any ideas would
be greatly appreciated !
Thank you jim

I know you replaced the fuel pump a year ago,but if it cranks and runs, and you have stalling issue, you may want to have the fuel pressure checked, sounds like low fuel pressure, meaning bad fuel pump.
