Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My VTM-4 light came on after i start driving. Its a 2003 Honda Pilot and I need
to know before I go to the dealer and spends excessive money. I was told this
could be affected because I put to much gas in the truck. Is this so and how can
I handle the issue.

When was the last time you had the rear differential serviced on your Pilot ? It needs fluid changes every 30K miles per Honda. Fluid might be burnt up and you will need to flush the differential out, many times this doesn't help and the diff is done. Have replaced many diffs due to negligence; ie no service. Fluid used in these can be bought from Honda/Acura dealers and gets pumped into the diff using a 3/8 drive sealing bolt which is facing the rear of the vehicle.
