04 chrysler sebring over heating

Asked by bborer86 Jun 11, 2016 at 12:05 PM about the 2004 Chrysler Sebring LX Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have an 04 Chrysler Sebring lx and yesterday i noticed It was leaking some thing from the right front end. Later after driving it home it made a gurgling or bubbling sound almost like water being poured fast out of a gallon jug. I checked for a leak and nothing was coming out. I went 2 miles down the road and my temperature sensor spiked all the way up and the light came on as to indicate it was over heating. I popped the hood and checked the coolant and it was completely empty I have to get it to the shop which is 30 mins away. Is it safe to put water in the coolant reservoir?
