MY 09 IMPALA LTZ PUT ME IN THE SAME SITUATION. REPLACED THE GAS PEDAL ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO AND PRESTO IT HASN'T DONE IT AGAIN..THIS IS A TRUE LIFE THREATENING SITUATION THAT CHEVROLET IS WELL AWARE OF.. ITS THE MATTER OF WHAT NIMROD THAT FLASHED (PROGRAMED) THE COMPUTER THAT WHEN THE SENSOR HAS MALFUNCTIONED IT SHOULD SHUT DOWN THINKING IT POSES DANGER IF IT CONTINUES WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE THE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN YOUR AUTOMOBILE IS A BIG ZERO.. ITS GONNA TAKE A FEW FOLKS TO LOOSE THERE LIVES AND MAYBE THE NTSB WILL MAKE EM RE FLASH THE COMPUTER W/ SOMETHING A LITTLE SMARTER, OR GIVE US THE ABILITY TO EJECT ITS SAFER THAN RIDING THIS STORM OUT...

Aren't we the drama queen? Do any of the above answers matter? Go ahead. Scare the crap out of people.
Going through this now and replacing the pedal has not worked, fuse box and throttle body hasn’t worked. driving 75mph and then being reduced to 40mph with car a line of cars behind you is scary

My husband was dealing with this for a little over two years now. He changed the petal, the ECM, and a few other sensors. Some worked for a little while. The car has been in super rough shape, thought we had to retire old girl. So he was messing with the spark plugs (it was running like the fuel injectors were clogged) and had the engine ratcheted forward. Well he turned the car on and the car ran great. He put the motor back in place and it ran like crap again. So we finally figured out that this was a wiring issue, and pinpointed where (right off of the ECM). One little wire was the issue that has had us stressed out for 2 years.
