because you haven't changed the coolant in a couple of years...the 50/50 mix will break down into mud and boulders....this has stopped the thermostat from operating normally and possibly plugged up the heater core~ take it in for a 50/50 flush and refill...with the new thermostat that they'll put in that you should have heat again~

....flush...hard to do in an environmental fashion...as one is tempted to put a garden hose at the heater core return line...but WATER will play hell on the engine...especially with cast aluminum heads...so do not allow the coolant to pour onto the concrete where dogs and birds will drink it and die~ ...rather recapture into pans and five gallon buckets to be taken to the autoparts store for recycling~ a place that does this all the time will take care of ya~

They won't put a new thermostat in THIS car with just a routine flush due to location of thermostat!
