You say AC/Heat is good, so your blend door is obviously working. You have three actuators in your heating and AC system: Blend, Mode, and Recirculation. If air is only blowing out top vent, then you have a problem with the mode door. Manuals specifies recalibration after any repairs by removing JB Fuse #5 for five minutes, so give that a try (you could also pull the battery for five minutes and see if problem goes away). If nothing, then you'll have to diagnose if problem is with mode actuator, the Manual Temperature Control (MTC) switch, or the Body Control Module (BCM). The switch sends the signal to the BCM to drive the actuators. Almost always it's the actuator, but getting to them involves digging into the dash. Most AC repair shops can run a diagnostic on the system to determine if it's truly a faulty actuator - or you can chance that it is to save a few bucks and swap it out. The mode actuator actually drive TWO doors - the panel/bi-level door and the heat/defrost door, so if you see both are not working, that is your problem.
BTW, when their is a control problem the actuator will automatically go to the defrost position. You say yours is in the defrost position, so that is why I suggested getting a diagnostic done instead of jumping into the dash, as you may have a faulty MTC, BCM or circuit problem.
Can you jump plug to stay in circulation mode?
