How do I set my DVD player to play movies while driving
Asked by The71judge Nov 29, 2015 at 12:41 AM about the 2009 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T RWD
Question type: General
The dealer can turn the DVD player on or off deepening on the state laws in
the state you live
So if you live in a state that allows a car to play movies while driving the
dealer can program the DVD player to play
Does anyone know who to turn a DVD player so it works while the cars
driving

Funeral waiting to happen. If you have children in the car their blood will be on your hands
Driving and watching a movie? That would be smart.
As said by all the others, its a VERY bad idea. But if it legal in your state, it probably has to be programmed through the computer by the dealer. Remember if you drive in a state where it is illegal, you will still get a ticket, regardless of your home states laws.
I hope we got through to him Gentlemen
Just go to a stereo audio business and they will make it to where you can watch while driving. I have 3 cars and all have DVD players it's not for me watch while driving it's for my wife or whoever is with me to watch and enjoy, you people sound crazy
The purpose of the dvd player in a car is for the passengers entertainment, not the driver. So, if the passengers can't watch the dvd while the car is in motion, then the dvd is pointless. I recently bought a new dodge grand caravan. They didn't advertise that it had a dvd player. I found it by accident. I understand why it wasn't advertised. A true waste of technology.
Yes, I agree... my PASSENGER can NEVER enjoy watching a dvd while I drive. What a waste for the parent's.
My cellphone linked to the 7" radio via hdmi cable, and i want to see the google map on the 7" screen , it is much safer than try to hold a phone and look a smaller screen. But I can't do it, because won't let me watch the "VES" even if it is not dvd... So he has a point, i want to turn that crap off. Anyway some states are allow to use it for passenger ...
Yes dont watch DVD's cuz looking at a phone is much SAFER......STUPID........ better yet put a PORN so all the other drivers see it and get distracted lmfao..
Watching a DVD on a long drive, especially when you're alone, really makes the time pass.
A new question to an older post, but same principle applies here. I have a 2018 Grand caravan GT with dash mount dvd only. I car pool seven children every day, the noise from them can be deafening, movies for them to watch would make for a quieter, safer drive for me. How to use when in drive for the kiddos would benefit me and them. Why have a dash mount "in park gear only" defeats the travel excursion use of dvd.
Listen up snow flakes. If this isn't what you are looking for moved along. Some of us have kids that sit up front would also like to enjoy the movie. If you are to ADHD you can't drive while a DVD is playing then Thatbis your handicap get off dudes case.
So you can use wireless head phones for the dvd?

I get it. There are a lot of dumb ass people who would watch while driving. I personally would not watch at all, but I'd like to have the option for my passengers. I'm a mature, responsible human being, I do not text and drive, I do not take my eyes off the road for more than a split second for any reason, to look at rear view or side view mirrors, I do it in a fraction of a second because I know 1 second can mean DEATH. Nothing can distract me, but I don't have any confidence that everybody else has the same sense. So I accept that these devised as dummy proofed. We who are responsible often have to suffer for those who lack the same level of discipline and responsibility. It's like living in the planet of the apes. If you're smart, and you are projecting your level of intelligence on others, don't! People are dumb and just having a video playing in the front seat would kill even many people who believe they'd not be distracted. Leave it alone and watch your videos elsewhere.
