4 wheel drive

I have a loud banging in the front of my Ranger every couple of hundred of feet when it is in 4 wheel high. When I stop and put the switch to 2 wheel drive it will bang once more an does not do it again.

check for slack in your front drive shaft.

4 wheel is not fully engaged.Look for loose or slack in front drive shaft or loose actuator at transfer case.
