2002 Chrysler Sebring won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I just changed the internal water pump and it started right up. Drove it for
about 40 miles and it stalled out on the road. Had it towed back to the house
and can't figure out why it cranks but won't start. No spark, no continuity to
cam shaft sensor or crank sensor. So I replaced both of those sensors.
When I check for power going to both of those sensors the fuel pump comes
on. I have never dealt with this kind of problem. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!!!

did you need to remove the timing belt or timing chain? If you did, check your work.
Yes, and then it started right up and ran for 40 miles.
again check your work.
Do you think that it could be that a sofisticated computer has to reset the system? Why would I get no power to the two sensors but when I'm testing them the fuel pump comes on? After I put it the new water pump and put it back together it started right up and ran good for the 40 miles.
did you check your work for a weak timing belt/chain tensioner?
everything was new, except for the chain. But, it is tight.
it keeps giving me a code on my cheap computer of 725 and it references to the crank and cam. I replaced both of those sensors. Still won't start.
725 is a trans code, look at the connector going to the transmission solenoid pack located at the front of the transmission. ( you can see it from under hood) make sure you didn't bump anything when you did the job.
but, would that cause the car to not start?
I was told by a few other mechanics that if I replaced the sensors that the computer might have to be rebooted and can't do that by disconnecting the battery. They said that a service place with a really high tech computer would have to do it. My cheap computer is old and the 725 code listed those two sensors.
not true, you can replace the solenoid pack with out resetting anything, but it wont give you a no spark condition, keep checking over your work to see if anything related to the ignition system was bumped.
I really appreciate your fast replies. It has me so upset that I wanted to set that car on fire. I will check everything that you told me. I will let you know tomorrow if anything changed.
I checked my work. The timing belt was stretched. Put on a new belt and it started up and running good. Thanks a lot for your help!!!!!
I meant the timing chain.
