Breather gasket?

Asked by GuruC9YKN Mar 07, 2019 at 04:22 PM about the 2004 Volkswagen Passat GLX 4Motion Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my 2004 vw 1.8t to the dealer for an oil leak.
He said that the valve cover gasket needs to be
replaced. That's fine but he also said the breather
gasket is leaking. Where is the breather gasket?

The dealer is probably talking about the rubber seal that the PCV sits in.

Fellow B5.5 Passat owner- if you are not aware, the PassatWorld online forum is a fantastic resource for virtually any problem or question one could have about the car. I advise checking it out :)
