Need help keep in the car idling

Asked by Evan Oct 27, 2020 at 08:14 PM about the 2000 Dodge Durango Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so I fixing up a 2000 dodge dakota from the
block up 4.7 L I'm in the final steps of getting iy out
the shop door but I'm having a problem keeping it
iding for example when I try to start without
touching the gas pedal it doesn't start but when I
give a little push it turns but when I let go of the
pedal ot shuts off and what I think it is and I'm not
sure is
It might be the cold air intake I have the big hose
the goes on to the intake manifold but I think it just
needs a constant flow of cold air going into the
manifold
Please correct me if I'm wrong
Also I put Durango in the type of car model so I
could post this just to clarify if anybody is
confused.
