Should the power windows work with the key off the ignition?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've had my Durango for about a year and I have noticed that my power
windows and panels on both doors are still connected and lit, even after I get
my key out of the ignition (which comes out very loosely). I do, however turn
the key all the way back before I pull it out. Thanks in advance for any tips!

The windows on some cars will not work at all with the key off. Some will work until you open a door. With the key on accessory, the windows will work on most cars.
